“I was invited to teach a workshop for G2 Dance Company entitled Functional Integration for Movement Performance, aimed at enhancing the dancers' technical development and artistic longevity through a functional body conditioning program.
The program integrated principles of the Pilates Method, Fascial Training, Neuromuscular Training, and Body Awareness, tailored to the specific physical, technical, and artistic demands of the dancers. Conducted from August to October, it consisted of twice-weekly, one-hour practical sessions, totaling 24 hours, with an individualized and progressive approach.
The classes incorporated the Tye4X®, developed by the PhysicalMind® Institute, to facilitate elastic tension activation, proprioceptive stimulation, and body stabilization. The work focused on postural organization, deep stabilization, integrated joint mobility, body awareness, motor efficiency, and the transfer of these principles to dance-specific movements.
Throughout these three months, the dancers demonstrated remarkable technical progress, with significant improvements in physical abilities, dance performance, motivation, and engagement. The application of biotensegrity principles, enhanced by the use of the Tye4X®, produced clearly observable results in physical preparation and technical performance, contributing to greater movement efficiency and refinement in dance technique.”
